Sports Ambassadors Program
LEARN
Bring the passion and enthusiasm of New Brunswick’s most inspiring athletes, coaches and sports builders into Your Classroom!
We know how important it is to engage students in learning while promoting personal wellness and an active lifestyle. That’s why over the past 15 years, we've offered a FREE program for the New Brunswick Grade 6 Personal Wellness, or Phys. Ed. curriculum, Language Arts, Social Studies.
The Sports Ambassadors Program offers a special, valuable experience for students. Whether it's a North American wrestling champion, an Olympic or paralympic medalist, or a coach for national and international teams, our presentations always reflect the positive impact of sport and the value of competition. Our Sports Ambassadors will share their personal stories of overcoming obstacles and reaching the top of their game. These interactive presentations allow students to ask questions, explore ideas, and reflect on the paths to success in sport and in life.
2024 is a new beginning for our program, which was on pause over covid, and we’re committed to making it the best one yet. We think it's more important now than ever to instill in children a sense of importance for physical activity. We're here to work with you—New Brunswick teachers and administrators—to give your students an unforgettable experience.
A visit from a Sports Ambassador is more than a classroom lecture: it's a high-level athlete or coach sharing their passion for a life devoted to competition, determination, and physical activity; it is the catalyst for a greater interest in sport. it’s an opportunity for your students to:
-
Be inspired to participate in sports
-
Learn the benefits of staying active
-
Meet provincial athletes and sport builders
-
