Biography

Nancy Morrison of Quispamsis is one of the world’s most elite softball officials. She has supervised five national events as umpire-in-chief and was selected as an umpire for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, including the gold medal game. She began her officiating career in 1982 as a basketball referee, and later added softball to her repertoire, reaching international certification in 1998. Morrison is a two-time N.B. official of the year.Championing fair play from the lowest to highest leagues, she is a role model among officials and is highly-regarded for her professionalism. Inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame, June 7, 2014
