Biography
Bouctouche native Brigitte Soucy-Anderson has been described as one of the strongest female volleyball players Canada has ever produced.She was selected for the national team in 1992 while playing at Université de Moncton.Her all-round skill, passion, determination, and winning attitude, which took her to the international stage, was highlighted by playing on Canada’s team in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.She also performed in two Pan-American Games, three Canada Cups, a World Cup and the World Student Games among many major competitions.Brigitte later played nine professional seasons in the highly-competitive Italian league, considered the best in the world.She’s received accolades at every level at which she competed – testimony to her outstanding career.
