From that day in 1976 when he first watched Olympic volleyball on television, his dream was to play and compete at the international level. His career began at Caraquet’s Polyvalent Louis-Mailloux with interscholastic championships in 1978 and 1979. Two years later he moved to Calgary where he joined Canada’s National Junior team and, in due course, the Senior team, while serving on the local police force. In 1992 he represented Canada at the Olympic Games in Barcelona. He competed in more than thirty major international tournaments; ten times he was selected as an All-Star; and was chosen as Most Valuable Player at the pre-Olympic tournament. He now resides in Moncton where he serves as a part-time coach at his former university. Enrolled in the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame, June 2nd, 2001
