Biography
Geneviève Lalonde of Moncton represented Canada in the 3000-metre steeplechase at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics and won gold at the 2019 Pan Am Games. She competed in 13 countries and became the first Canadian woman to reach a steeplechase final at a world championship or Olympics. Lalonde won four national steeplechase titles, three cross-country titles, and competed at six world championships. She also won 1500m and 3000m gold at the 2008 Legion Nationals.
