Biography

He moved to New Brunswick to earn a Physical Education degree at UNB in 1966 - and has been here ever since. His life-long commitment to artistic gymnastics began when he joined the Sokoi Gymnastics Club in his hometown of Noranda, Quebec. Successful though he was as an age-class, university and open competitor, he achieved local, provincial and national recognition (and gratitude) as a coach, judge, club founder, organizer and executive member. In 1976 he was selected to manage the Canadian Men’s and Women’s gymnastics teams at the Montreal Olympics; three years later he served in a similar capacity at the World Championships in Texas. Enrolled in the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame, June 7th, 2003.
