Biography
Gordie Clark of Saint John was one of New Brunswick’s most gifted goal scorers. He led the New Brunswick Junior Hockey League in scoring in 1969 and went on to excel at the University of New Hampshire. Clark was a two-time All-American, a member of the UNH Hall of Fame and was named among the top 50 players to ever compete in the NCAA’s Eastern College Athletic Conference. Drafted by the Boston Bruins in 1972, he went on to spend eight seasons in the American Hockey League, scoring 267 goals, including a league-leading 50-goal season. He was named to the All-Star team four times and was a member of the 1979 Calder Cup Champions, the Maine Mariners.Clark finished his career in the German Elite League as the top goal scorer.
