Randy Wilson of Nackawic spent 43 years as a builder and official in the sport of volleyball, including 31 years at level four, and 26 with high-performance status: the two highest certifications possible in Canada. Randy officiated and managed at Volleyball Canada’s International, U Sport, Collegiate, and Canada Games events. He joined Volleyball Canada’s Referee Development Team in 1998. In 2005, as a Volleyball Canada Referee Supervisor, he supervised an impressive 16 events in a ten-year span. He served many roles within Volleyball NB and Volleyball Canada’s officials committees over thirty-six plus years. Randy and his NB colleagues brought forward a development model now used by others to successfully promote National Referees. He was named Volleyball NB Official of the Year three times,1994, 2004, and 2014. A proud member of the VNB Hall of Fame, 2015 and honoured on ten more occasions with prestigious awards.
