When an athlete is enrolled in a Hall of Fame, that is a major achievement, but when he is enrolled in two, one Provincial and one National, then that is magnificent.And when he could just as well have been honoured for his role in three different sports – then that puts him in a class by himself. Gord Perry is that man and baseball, curling and football were his interests.When football people gather to reminisce, the inevitably focus on the old Winged Wheelers; Grey Cups; the forward pass, and Jeff Russell award winners.Perry’s name crops up in all of these. Moncton was his place of birth, Quebec City his early home, Montreal his base of operation, and Canada his source of fame. Enrolled in the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame, June 7, 1975.
