Biography

Anne Orser, of Bathurst and Fredericton, is one of New Brunswick’s most renowned female curling athletes. She won her first national championship in 1959 as the lead, and repeated 7 more times this feat in 14 years. Orser has represented New Brunswick in 13 National Women’s Curling Championships throughout her career and she finished, with her team, twice as a bronze medalist. Orser was inducted into the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Bathurst Sports Hall of Fame in 1991.
