Biographie

Mount Allison University in Sackville has developed for itself a long tradition of excellence in, among other things, the field of competitive athletics.Between 1925 and 1930 on athlete stood out above the rest in rugby, basketball, hockey and tennis – “Bul” Lister. This native of Harvey played leadership roles in a continuum of intercollegiate, provincial and regional championship teams. But that’s only part of the Lister legend, from 1931 to 1936, he served as athletic director and coach of Mount A’s men’s and women’s basketball, men’s hockey and track teams – clubs that won 26 provincial, Maritime, intercollegiate and senior championships. As an athlete, and later as a coach, “Bul” Lister was a major part of that Mount Allison tradition of excellence. Enrolled in the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame, June 4th, 1983.
