Biographie
Elite athletes often make this pledge: “I want to give back to the sport that gave so much to me.”Many say it, Edmundston’s Jules Bossé did it - as a club director, coach and administrator, following his retirement from active competition in 1989. But it is for what he achieved as a judoka that his province now salutes him: Seven times Atlantic Regional Champion at 78 and 71 kilograms; bronze medalist at sixteen national and international competitions; and 71 kilogram champion of Canada in 1986. From 1981 to 1988 he was a member of Canada’s National Judo Team.Wherever he competed, in Canada, Austria, France, Morocco and Martinique, at the end of each meet, he would be found on the podium reserved for those special few - the medal winners. Enrolled in the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame, June 6th, 1998.
