The late Edmond Gagnon started in the 1960’s with a backyard rink for his family and neighbors in his home community of Grand Barachois.He went on to finance and support teams that filled the biggest arenas in the province.The crowning moment came when his Miramichi Gagnon Packers won the 1987 Canadian senior AA championship after 11 years of supporting intermediate A/Senior AA teams.Gagnon also backed teams in Shediac, Dieppe, Moncton, Riverview and elsewhere.And, he just didn’t write cheques, he took part in management decisions and was a faithful attendee at games, along with wife, Juliette.
