Biographie
He scored 1,189 points in his professional hockey career, including 620 goals and 569 assists.He scored 30 or more goals in 11 seasons and 40 or more in four seasons, records that still stand in the American Hockey League.He was a four-time all-star, and one-time scoring champion and most valuable player. This was Dick Gamble, one of the most prolific goal scorers in all of professional hockey.You’ll find his name on the Stanley Cup with his Montreal Canadians team-mates (1952-53); you’ll also find his name three times with those of his Rochester team-mates on the Calder Cup. His hockey career took him from his home town of Moncton to Oshawa, Québec, Montréal, Chicago, Toronto, Buffalo and Rochester.It has been 16 years since he last played pro hockey, and he still stands third on the list of all-time goal scorers in the A.H.L. Enrolled in the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame, June 2nd, 1984.
