Heather Smith of Sackville began curling through the Sackville Curling Club junior program, leading to four national championships, a Scotties bronze medal, and a near berth at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. She skipped her team to the 1991 junior title and played third on mixed championship teams in 1994 (NB) and 2002 and 2010 (NS). She won seven New Brunswick titles and twelve in Nova Scotia, competed in six Scotties, and earned bronze at the 2013 Olympic Trials as an alternate.
