Biographie
While attending a national tournament out west, the manager of a Loggieville softball team was asked: “What’s the population of Loggieville?”The manager replied by pointing to the dugout: “There they are!” Like so many others from her Miramichi village, she was a softball star - starting in 1968 as a bantam, continuing at the 1973 Canada Games in Burnaby, B.C. and ending in 1987 when she pitched in her last senior national tournament. In all she played in 607 games; pitched in 542 of them and won 389. She also won elven MVP awards and nine pitcher-of-the-year citations! Although she commuted for nine years between her home and Moncton where she played for the Rebels, she was, first and foremost, a Loggieville GEM. Enrolled in the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame, June 2nd, 2001
